The Coen Brothers never fail in taking a theme, shaking it up, shedding glimmers of light in darkness and dashes of humour in intense situations, whilst persistently intriguing the audience.
Focusing on different people with different outlooks on life - some trying to make an honest living, while other untrustworthy souls try to take advantage of certain opportunities that present themselves.
Each piece contributes in its own unique way, whether it is true to western life or not is irrelevant. It's a storybook of tales. They are Mozart's variations on a melody.
Not their best in my opinion but this six shooter anthology is beautifully crafted and who doesn't like a good story?
