The movie is beautiful and the story is interesting. Starts out a little confusing with mutiple stories being told. Kevin Costner is definitely the star of this movie along with some other nice performances. But if you were expecting Open Range or Dances with Wolves authenticity then you will be disappointed. Many of the women including indigenous looked like they just stepped out of Vogue. Eye brows penciled and make up and lip injections included. Indians dressed in pants and settlers clothing. Felt many of the Indian actors speaking Apache had just learned the language. Of course many of the men and women combinations had women half the age of the men. There is a reason this move was showing on 1 screen 4 times for the day (Quiet Place 26 times to full houses) and our theater on a Friday night was less than half full. It appeals to a much older crowd of mostly men. Overall I enjoyed the movie just was expecting more.
