ROSE THURMAN

Never read any of the books so new to this. Enjoyed Martin Shaws version and think I could enjoy more of this adaptation. Only reason for 3 stars was the shocking lighting! Had a quick glimpse of episode 3 and there wasnt much improvement. Shetland has some pretty dire weather to contend with when shooting but you can see the action even in interior sequences.

Angela Black and The Larkins! I know we're still in the middle of covid but there are some excellent actors out there wanting to work. Script writers, producers, directors; don't give them this drivel and don't crucify authors like H E Bates. All Creatures Great and Small an authentic revival and how it should be done. Congratulations Channel 5.

Its a drama! Not a manual and how to defuse a bomb. Artistic licence for health and safety. I left it after the 2nd episode but carried on recording. Ive gone back to it and am really enjoying it. I think the problem was too much action to start with and slow development of characters. Once you get to know them it sings and you are hooked into the story. For those of you who abandoned it, please try sgain!

At last something worth watching. Totally different from anything else on the box. Intelligently written by the brilliant Stephen Merchant with a cast of actors at the top of their game. Fun, witty, scary and ticks all the boxes for age, sex and ethnicity. An absolute delight. More please!
