Very poorly made movie, not telling the real story of how the US Army was received by the Dominican citizen as liberators from a communist group of tugs. Also the writer and the producer fail to obtain proper military advice on uniforms and weapons of the era. Finally the Coronel in charge of the operation Col. Armando Montes retired from the U.S. Army and is consider by many a hero for his fight against communist in Vietnam and the Dominican Republic. He currently lives in Miami and is doing well. One final note President Johnson decided to sent troops to the Dominican Republic after Balaguer principal advisor Dr. Luis Conte Aguero requested and delivered the plea for help from Balaguer.
