Simply Outstanding. Superb writing. Production. Garfields talent is outstanding. The entire cast were outstanding. It's such a shame that the theme of the show is niche because Garfields pyre and Gill Birminghams taba, make a wonderful detective duo that I could dream of seeing in a second series. But hey call the midwives was based on a true to life memoir that followed slowly in into fiction based on factual events so maybe they could run with more series. One can dream. It's been a while since I've had a show with the ability to have me emotionally invested. Despite not being very religious i found this show a true work of art.

SPOILERS AHEAD: Season three was such a disappointment. The first two seasons were executed agreeably. But I cannot for the life of me understand why they cut so much important character developmental detail that actually brings life to a story. The dialogue felt disconnected. Due to this. Much loved characters were not included. Corra simply dissapears? It's almost as though they ran out of cgi funding because even Diana's magic which as grand and explosive in the first and second series, was dull and disenchanting in the 3rd.none of this is a reflection on the actors or the writers. I think it's a miracle they managed to pull this together in a mere 8 episodes spanning 60 mins each, that is a credit to their professionalism. In the book aunt Sarah's greif is not overlooked like it is in the series. Matthew and Diana actually return to the madison house with Fernando. The beautiful friendship between Sarah and Fernando was also cut out. That wonder scene in the beginning of the book with Fernando cooking "the widow" (Sarah) breakfast, the banter between him and marte over her best pan. The scenes at Yale were also cut hinting to more budget issues. So much life and explanation just erased. If I was Deborah harkness I would be appalled and wholly disappointed. The ending up until Matthews beautiful monologue, was appalling. Where was our big fight? Where was corra in the library helping Diana find the BOL? Where was corra full stop?! She was a massive part of season 2.and she's just erased?! I was so sure that they would split the last book into two seasons. That would have made so much sense business wise. I look to the next 20 years Because some bright spark in the future will remake this and do it a greater justice. All the actors and crew were amazing. You deserve medals. Especially given the restrictions with the pandemic. Well done.

Eternals wasn't great. It felt random. And there were plot holes and also characters who did things out of character. The direction was good but the writing terrible. As an example one character asks why they didn't get involved with the thanos fight. I felt this line only served to tie the movie in with the infinity saga so it didn't feel too alien. However the answer provided was "externals don't get involved in humans wars." Well thanos wasn't human, bright spark, he was a titan, and was wiping out 50% of all living things in the universe. So I think that constitutes just as much action as you give to kill your little demon Dinos. It just didn't make sense. I also hate it when films try to go diverse and feminist and make it too obvious. Like hire someone with a different ethnicity because they fit the character, don't do it and then write in a few lines addressing the ticked box for diversity. Hire someone who is a strong woman, don't hire a mouse and give her strong lines. That's not feminism!! Don't get me started on the kid with the crazy hair. There is supposed to be LGBT REP going on here and their poor writing Completley missed the depth to that character too. What a waste. I must say though. The deaf character. Amazing! She is the only one apart from Rob stark I felt had depth. She has such on screen charisma. She deserved to be there. A couple of the actors were great. Some fell flat and had no depth. The main character for one. They had a bunch of new actors, the casting agents had a hard on for game of thrones. Did you think throwing kit Harrington and Rob stark in a film together would make it relevent? Hmm you did that by throwing in legendary actors like Angelina Jolie, gave her terrible writing too. I am not sure if it's bad acting or bad writing. But I'm pretty sure I'll lean more towards the latter. The writing was bad. It was and random and just terrible. This is so typical of Disney these days. There's no real art anymore. They churn out rubbish just to make petty cash for the big expensive cgi movies that follow it. The director did a great job, but so much of this film was let down by bad writing.
