So well written, it’s hard to imagine this is only her second book. It’s a page turner from page one to the very end. I could hardly put it down once started. The author captured the colour and texture of every country she visits. Her humanity lies exposed at every turn as she lives through perilous and desperate situations. It was a walk through some historic moments, viewed through the eyes of someone who was on the front line of some of the worlds biggest conflicts and tragedies. One of the best books I have read in a long time.
