I have never felt compelled to write a review until now. I simply can NOT understand how, why and by whom this was deemed worthy, much less acceptable, in relation to the original "The Haunting of Hill House."
Hill House, in my opinion, was in a caliber of it's own, far surpassing any modern day horror flix or any other genuine attempts of it's classification. It is choc full of anticipation, horror, edge of your seat suspense that undoubtedly delivered every episode. The story was creative with it's own brand of plot twists and was executed incredibly well, by all means.
I don't really know what to say about "The Haunting of 'blah' Manor." I was underwhelmed with every aspect of what made Hill House a smashing success and overwhelmed by never-ending, seemingly senseless, dialogue.
The only thing that surprised me was the complete lack there of.
