I would love the game if it worked. I bought it on sale for $5 and I'm still angers me that I payed anything for this. On the switch, it feels like this is in alpha testing. CONS: 1. Pet: my pet will sometimes disappear after entering a loading zone. I have to teleport out to my base, select a different pet, then equip my old pet back on. That does not fix the issue always because as soon as I teleport back to where I was, there is a chance that the pet disappeared AGAIN. 2. Warp points/teleporting: I honestly can't figure this out. I avoid teleporting because it does not take you back to where you put down your teleport. It puts you back at the main entrance. Same thing with the phasebeasts. A portal opens up when you defeat one, and you can go in to defeat a boss for some loot. You better hope you did not enter the portal near the end of the dungeon because when you leave the phase beast fight, your back at the entrance and the level is reset. There are plenty of times that I kill a phase beast, then DONT go in the portal because it's a huge waste of time when I am trying to continue with the story. 3. Crashes: iv had the game crash several times because it was running for too long? That is my guess because since I have been making sure to close the game out after playing for 4 or so hours TOTAL, ( in other words, if I just put my switch into sleep mode and pick it back up later) it no longer crashes. 4. Miscellaneous bugs: if you open the tab that allows your pet to buy potions when he leaves to sell, then close it, the menu stops working. I have to press start to close my inventory, then open it back up again. The game chugs along on the switch. It was clearly not meant for the switch and really struggles. This would not be an issue for me if everything else worked. It just adds to my frustration. Items drop REALLY slowly from mobs. I find myself having to wait around to make sure all the loot has dropped before continuing on. It really breaks the flow of the game. PROS: I really do enjoy what the game has to offer. ( when its working) I can't speak to anything past act 2, because that is as far as I have gotten before trying a new char to see how the other chars feel. The skills are fun and feel good to use in combat, and the legendary bonuses add some awsome flavor to the experience. My overall experience with this game would be summarized as a waste of time and money. I don't understand how this game could be around for so long with no updates to fix these bugs. When I first had these issues, my first thought was the game just needed an update. Nope. No updates. I loved torchlight 2 and have spent many hours in it, but this has left a really sour taste in my mouth, and unless there is an update to fix a majority of these bugs, I will not be playing it again.
