A very sad, upsetting and distressful book, well written with the truth about this young boys tragic and horrible abuse from the people who were meant to love and care for him,how he survived I will never know and I will never be able to understand how a mother can treat her own son like she did.I did however feel a little disappointed with the ending and was left wanting to know so much more about the rest of his life and how it turned out for him(as he would be the same age as I am now, both born in 1965 and in South London)I do believe that Paul was working on a sequel to this book but I haven't been able to track it down as yet, I'm also lead to believe that a new updated Ebook version of this book has become available in June 2021 after his abuser (named Trevor in the book...not his real name) was convicted of sexual abuse and attacks on young boys.I would recommend this book to family and friends on the understanding that they were aware of its contents before going ahead and reading it,altogether a very good read for me...since finishing this book I have found out that Paul is writing a new book which continues from where this book finished...Its called "Beyond The Hurt" and I'm looking forward to reading it.
