First started playing right after Nicholai was added as a Mastermind back in May. Let me tell you, I'm not good at survivor mainly because I play Mastermind as main. However, I can say that 90% of the time if I have 1 or 2 good players on my team, we get through the whole trial or at least a majority of the way through. The ranking system for players starts at 1 and goes up accordingly from there. A rank 30 plus Mastermind usually has no chance or an EXTREMELY difficult time taking down a group of single digit survivors with maybe 1 or 2 higher ranked teammates. Looking back at the RE Resistance website at the past "balance adjustments" it is clear that the developers have been VERY survivor oriented. Even the new updates today continue to favor survivors... Last I checked these types of games are supposed to have the odds stacked against the good guys, and that's why they rely heavily on teammork. With this game, teamwork can get thrown out the window if you have 1 or 2 decent player with the team let alone 4! At this point it feels like the Mastermind is the victim in this game and the survivors are the antagonists! Sure, you can get lucky and have a very disorganized team and steamroll them. But once you have a person with a single clue on the game forget it. Stun locking your ultimates is a norm in this game, effectively making ultimates useless. If stun locking isnt available to survivors there is usually a safe zone that only surviors can get into that is available by this stage of the trials. You can down survivors multiple times in an area but once they take out the camera you are on your advantage is over. The time they had deducted get restored right back after somone gets revieved, usually by the healer, who is usually out of range of your camera anyway during the revive... If they don't have a healer their tank will activate his ability so you do almost zero damage to anyone in the process of picking up a survivor by hand. If not that, the hacker will just hack the camera instantly, or increase the cost of your weapons and monsters so you can't intervene. This is all before survivors unlock upgrades to their special abilities! Pretty much every action grants survivors extra time, whether it be destroying traps, killing monsters, locating a puzzle piece, placing a puzzle piece, or destroying an occupied camera, the list goes on! There is no point in playing Mastermind if the game is practically given to survivors. Ive only been playing survivor anymore until this game gets truly "balanced". This game has potential if it wasnt so one sided.
