This is an excellent reboot. I love the ethnic diversity and the spells chanted in Spanish and the three sisters. The original was good but relied heavily on the format which made the show desperately formulaic. It seems as if on the old show there was so much demon activity that vanquishing them seemed old hat. The format here is wonderfully intact but the ethnic take on the three sisters adds layer after layer In their characters. On the old show, even though the actresses that played the three leads are wonderfully talented and beautiful their characters seemed to all be too similar. The new three have their own personalities and struggles with them and how they affect the other two as they use the power of three to defeat the world of spiritual evil. Absolutely wonderful. I’ve been binge watching on Netflix.
