I read the book back when it was published. At that time I felt the book was what was happening at that time. That was the time I was growing up. I was not doing drugs. I had plenty of friends that were. They to struggle. I read the book 4 time including when I an adult. Great book. And I recommend it for people of all ages. I am 70. And will probably read it again before my time is up.
