Only few movies give the feel of full satisfaction after watching and #Vikram movie is one amongst it. Credit to the director #LokeshKanagaraj, completely engaging movie experience from start to finish, keeping hooked to screen not even a single dull moment. Even can watch back to back shows, still wouldn't bore.
Great performance from everyone involved, #KamalHassan #FahadhFaasil #VijaySethupathy #Suriya it's complete powerhouse performance with good screen space for all. There are many more enjoyable performances from almost all the cast.
Glad to see Kamal as a director's artist with subtle emotions & swag (he deserves much more recognition for his versatility & dedication, probably this could be start of a great second innings), FaFa effortlessly carries the movie's narrative, VJS characterisation could have been better, a bit underwhelming, still he shines & Suriya cameo has menacing impact but appears an afterthought last minute addition. (All actors have brilliantly used their eyes to emote the intensity).
Technically brilliant in all departments like music, camera, editing, stunts, sets etc... Lot of hardwork & detailing involved, elevates the overall movie.
The first half carries subtle humour and enables the flow of multiple layers merging for showdown. Most would guess who is behind masked men, inspite little predictable still gives a high when revealed. (The body double with mask nowhere resembles the protagonist physically, looks amateurish, instead could have used the actor himself!)
Second half is full blown action extravaganza, reminds of 80/90s hardcore Hollywood action movies, the action sequences are convincing with good build-up, reasoning & backdrop, doesn't feel unrealistic, very much engaging.
Story wise nothing novel about it, though it tries to convey anti-drugs message but indirectly it promotes drug culture with showing antagonist getting high & powerful by consuming it. Even though it's just a movie for entertainment, could be avoided.
Anyhow go watch it, enjoy the movie, perhaps wait for the prequels, sequels, spin-offs etc... kind of Spy & Gangster universe, for sure the director is capable providing entertaining cinema.
