The negative first. It's a bit slow, but then when you go from likable to insane it takes awhile. The art direction is amazing. Im 42, so I remember how dirty that era was. They nailed it. Surprising to me is how well Todd Philips direction was. Not a knock on him, but he's famously a comedy director. Bravo! Last, Joaquin Phoenix. AMAZING!
