I came across a post on the theft of a golden toilet in Oxfordshire and my immediate thought was: 'how come such rediculous opulence still exists after what I vaguely recalled as a Century of Revolution in Europe ? That recollection comes from my study of History at A Level 5 decades ago. Google led me to this title. I am definitely going to read the book. My worry is that I might find an explanation of why Feudalism was defeated through revolution, but not on why it exists in a different form today. read the book.toread read
