Was it a perfect movie, deserving of an Oscar? No. Was it entertaining? Hell yes! Going into it, I had no idea Spirited was a musical, but I wanted to see what a combination of Will Farrell, Ryan Reynolds, Christmas, and comedy would look like. I was really pleasantly surprised. I appreciated that the singing was done by the actual actors and felt that it really tied the movie together, allowing me to enjoy the move a lot more than if the singing was voiced over by music professionals.
