This is the worst live action Disney that I have ever seen. Mulan's sense has been completely lost, a meaningless film without decent characters. The original story of Mulan, spoke of a sacrifice for the family, of a personal growth. Mulan who pretended to be a man to save his father, who in the army could not keep up with the other soldiers, but who with commitment, hope and training, even managed to overcome them. But what happens in this film? It's simply a really bad Jackie Chan B-movie, with plot holes and a bad script. To then talk about the witch who, in addition to being useless in the film, does not make sense. Why then remove Moushu, if you then put an animagus? Also, why remove Li Shang? "for the Me Too movement"? Seriously? The producer specified that in an era with the Me Too movement, an intimate and loving relationship could be inappropriate, if it were not for the fact that there was never sexual tension or harassment on the part of the general, or that there were never times when Mulan was at a disadvantage because of his harassment. Then I would like to remind you that the situation of Mulan and the witch ARE NOT THE SAME THING. In addition to the fact that Mulan reveals that she is a woman because she has to accept herself, a choice that blows up all the sense of Mulan. The point is that Mulan was exiled from the army ONLY because she was a woman, but she still has her family and her country where she can return, instead the witch was exiled from her people because she was a witch, her powers grew and she was dangerous. I'm sorry that Disney insists on creating live action on the same stories and doesn't commit to anything else.
