I got this book as a gift. At first, before I started reading it, I thought that this book was a Young Adult sci-fi, and that I, being a college student, was a little too old. I did, however, feel obligated to read it because it was a gift from a friend. Conflicted between my desire to stow it away in some old bookshelf and my sense of obligation to read it, I decided that I would speed read the book and, for the first few chapters, I did. It was only after I skimmed these few chapters that I realized that I was, much to my surprise, starting to enjoy the book. This was when I **started** to enjoy the book; as I read on, I became even more into this book. Anyway, even though this book might be appropriate for young adults, I wouldn’t call it a YA book; it artfully deals with nuanced social issues. Anyway, good read, would recommend.
