The thought that I would binge watch a show about a ultra orthodox Jewish community is so beyond my natural inclinations! The tenderness of the human stories, the depth of their love for each other amidst all the rules and traditions all lovingly portrayed. Every detail is perfect and it draws you in, there's a feeling of safety and solid foundations. We don't have it any more in our nuclear families. Their communities 'work' and we want to know why and how. The actors look like normal people, every move is beautifully and tenderly presented. Congratulations to them all, what a delicious treat!

Watching the main character Meghan's closeups for hours on end, two dancing villains, X Men caricatures, chief inspector paying for his daughter's piano lessons by covering up murders (was he not being paid?), the family living in a posh house but not really having any jobs, dysfunction, misogyny, ham acting. I still think James Nesbitt has squandered his talents, the only redeeming feature in an otherwise convoluted and unrealistic portrayal of life anywhere, let alone in Blackpool!

Such a treat, both visual and visceral. Elegant yet warm and tender, the human stories mingling with the cut-throat business of agents and their clients. Sophisticated and intelligent, each episode begins with a bang and ends with another, keeping the viewer hooked and in love. In love with the stories and the characters. Herve took my heart away. Bravo guys, you nailed it!
