Watching the teaser and main trailers for Castlevania Nocturne, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was hoping for the best. While I can agree that the show doesn't quite set the mark compared to its predecessor, it was an enjoyable watch nonetheless. I did feel it was lacking in parts, more so the overall storyline, character building and pacing over the course of the episodes, but the animation was impressive. Given this season ended when I believe it was just starting to take off, especially given that fantastic cliffhanger (which was unfortunately spoiled for me!), I have higher expectations for the next one. 3.5/5

Personally for me, giving this movie anything less than 5 stars is WRONG! From start to finish I was completely engrossed in it- the acting, the plot, the characters, the music, the humor. I have nothing bad to say about it... except that I wish there was a sequel. I've watched Knight and Day and in my opinion, Bang Bang! outshines big time. It also helps a lot that Hrithik Roshan is our international criminal.

To say this show is bingeworthy is an overstatement. I only stuck with it for two reasons- the Duke (duh) and in prep for the next season. The music, fashion, scenery and cinematography are all great, but don't make up for the somewhat average/poor acting. A lot of it felt forced to me, particularly Simon and Daphne's relationship. The Bridgerton family is kind and lovable, but this show is only watched because of the obvious- sex and scandal. If you're a fan of Gossip Girl and Downton Abbey, then this 1800s rendition/adaptation is perfect for you.
