I do agree that this film is definitely not for everyone but I, personally, really really loved the slow simplistic style of this film. It makes you notice and appreciate the little parts of life. Adam Driver plays the quiet poet to a tee. All in all this is a different, artistic movie that is different then the high stakes reality of Hollywood cinema.

Here’s some news for you: Kumail can act. I saw a small side of him on the new spin of the Twilight Zone and he did well there. But I didn’t realize he could carry a film as an actor like he did the in The Big Sick. Sure he gets great supporting performances around him (Ray Romano) but he did very well. I’d love to see him lead more films in the future.
