I just saw her on the news talking about medicare for all.
In the summer of 2013 I woke up with rining in my left ear. I was an OR manager at a small hospital in Ga. I had it checked out and to shorten a long story it turned into a 186 day hospital stay. The first 48 days billed my insurance Company four million dollars. I never receved a bill for the 4 months of Rehab. I am married to another RN who is on an isulin pump. A couple of years ago she reached what is known as a donut hole. That is when you have reached the yearly maximum allowed persription costs.
her last bottle of humalog insuliin for her pump cost $500. without it she would die. During my hospital stay I became comatose and was on mechanicaal ventilation other wise incompetent and had had amnesia. She was the only person in the world that I knew because she came to see me every day. I can no longer drive. We are dependent on each other.
When one of us dies the other will soon follow unless haealthcare in America becomes more compassionate. We have been married since 6/4/69. We graduated from High school on June 3, 1969. We first spoke on 11/29/68. We walked down the aisle with 10 dollars. We paid for 8 college degrees. We were RN's for a total of 60 years. The recent tax cut for the very wealthy would have paid for medicare for all.
