I've been playing pokemon since I was 6 and this game is well-needed fresh and fun addition to the franchise. The way the game is set out it takes away the need to progress so quickly and gives you the opportunity to just run around and have fun. It also adds a little bit of a danger element with the alpha pokemon and the sneaking mechanic. It encourages you to catch everything in sight instead of focusing on pokemon that would help late game and gives you the freedom to explore, something newer pokemon games severely lack. I hate the mini-movie-like cutscenes of Sword and Shield and although Legends starts off slow once you get to the wilds you can do virtually whatever you want. It really does feel like the Breath of the Wild of pokemon games. Great job nintendo, I hope you make more Legends style games!
