1. The dialogues donโt feel alive. The characters talk like an AI. The essence of the dialogues is informative rather than artistic.
2. The characters are shallow and too similar. Everyone is just a โgood guyโ who inexplicably likes the protagonist, who is also simply a nice person. Why are they all so nice? Whatโs their story? Itโs not revealed at all. Theyโre just very โgood people.โ
3. The setting has shifted from โdark fantasyโ to โa fairy-tale sitcom about inner struggles.โ
4. The antagonists look more comedic than awe-inspiring or dangerous. Theyโre not interesting to watch.
5. The characters lack any real motivation. Each one just does things without any explanation of why or to what end.
6. The world feels entirely empty and lacks personality. The whole world couldnโt care less about any supposed global threat.
7. The gameโs pacing feels like watching a TikTok video. Information is thrown at you in brief snippets, without explanation and without pause.
8. The RPG elements are extremely poor. Thereโs no way to build your own unique character with specific abilities. Your progression and skill differences only change the appearance of your ability. Thereโs no tactical difference.
9. The gameplay is terrible. It turned from a tactical game into a boring, mindless clicker, nowhere near the level of Souls games.
Itโs just terrible. It pains me to see such a legendary franchise turn into such trash. I really wanted this game to be great so that BIOWARE could have the resources to create new RPG games. But after the release of Veilguard, I now wish for the studioโs closure, so that their new products donโt keep destroying the legacy they left in the past.
