It’s an overly long musical film alternating with little insight into the Joker! A mess of a film!

I just got back from this Emmerich Meisterwerk. LOL. I saw it IMAX and the sound system and the shaking in the seats was just what I expected. It is an inanely stupid film BUT much fun as we discover what really is on/in the moon creating the orbital disturbance. Patrick Wilson can always be counted on to deliver tragic circumstances with panache. Halle Berry is doing it for the $$ and good for her. With obvious CGI and a script that had to have the actors howling while they collected their pay checks, go and have a good time.

Mendacity even innocently enough doubled back to haunt a man’s quest for release. Gorgeously acted and directed, this films twists and logical turns saddens with surprises.

A terrific Jessica Chastain anchors this film with humor, pathos and an all out plunge into the depth of Tammy Faye. The gifted Andrew Garfield attempts the enigma of Baker. Was he a scoundrel ? Yes! Did he know that he was bilking his audience? Yes! This is more of a glossary of his greed rather than a character driven truth. We see also with Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell how deprived the ministry can be!
