I loved this movie. I have a personal connection to the Fendler family, but even without that, I thought this was a well done movie. Many many of the school children here in Maine read this book as part of the curriculum. Donn used to go to a lot of the schools and talk to the kids about the book.
I'm surprised that the movie isn't playing in Georgia and that area due to that being the other end of the Appalachian trail hike. The through hikers would love this.
Kudos to the filmmakers.
I hope it keeps making the rounds exactly, and ends up with wider distribution.
