- BORDER CRISIS – The Road to Illegal Immigration They come like locust by the hundreds and by the hundreds of thousands in caravans of destitute desperados fleeing abject poverty, crime, oppression and persecution. They come seeking the American Dream from countries in Central America where drug gangs and subversive communist forces have corrupted and destroyed so many of these fragile governments. One has to wonder if these countries would have had the same treatment and attention to their economies as some of the other emerging global economies whether they would be today in much better conditions. Too many years of outsourcing jobs to countries like China by corporate America and not to our neighbors in Central America have left us now with a critical crisis at our southern border. Unfortunately, the short sightlessness driven by corporate greed and profiteering politicians has now come home to roost. Today China has become a real fire breathing dragon consuming everything and everyone in its path and a threat to world peace. Can the solution be as simple as bringing back jobs from China to Central America? Perhaps that could be a start but, curbing countries such as Cuba’s subversiveness and interventionism should not be ignored. Today Cuba has become a cancer in Latin America. However, all drug gangs will also need to be eradicated if there is to be any real economic progress and civic stability.
