Trap (2024)
M. Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller "Trap" (2024) revolves around Cooper, a.k.a. "The Butcher," a serial murderer who goes to a Lady Raven concert with his teenage daughter and discovers it's a trap set by the police. Josh Hartnett, who plays the lead in the movie, has received high appreciation for his engrossing and gripping performance, which is sometimes cited as its most notable feature.
Although reviews for "Trap" have been divided, some critics praise director Shyamalan for his scary atmosphere and directing, calling the film a return to form that is reminiscent of his earlier works, such as "Split." Though there are differing views on the film's storyline and twist, some people think the tale is intelligent and captivating, while others fault it for having a predictable plot and weak twists.
In general, all things considered, "Trap" could be appealing to admirers of Shyamalan's distinct aesthetic, particularly those who value his fusion of psychological tension, dark comedy, and suspense. It might not, however, win over anyone who isn't already an admirer of his work.
