This book attempts to understand the sixties in a long and fruitful manner. By using 4 unique countries [Britain?] or cultural worlds we are shown the larger picture in an exiting and challenging manner. Will now read it again after 20 years as it still feels coherent and necessary. Since both Europe and the USA are now challenged to keep themselves together with a global world taking back some of each one's power, AMarwick may still touch important nerves that mainstream societies never seem to come to grips with. A very appreciative academic undertaking, Simply marvelous.
