Fun, scary, creepy, exciting, visceral, starkly beautiful and thought provoking at timesโ just what you want and hope it will be. David Jonsson is a subtly genius actor, and the rest of the cast is good, too. And Ridley Scott does everything he does best. Highly recommend.

This is a sketch of a book to me, not fully-developed. Combines varying types of storylines we have seen before from King and othersโ child sees dead people, coming of age/adolescence, possession by an amorphous evil, etcโ but without developing anything new or interesting. The โevilโ is just an idea, really, nothing fleshed out. Disappointing.

First half of the movie not totally terrible. Second half totally terrible. Clichรฉd, unimaginative, poorly acted, nonsensical. Iโm disgusted with myself for watching this movie. I wish โ-7 stars was an option.โ
