On PS4, the UI is terrible, clunky and frustrating to use, with joy sticks its almost impossible to actually select anything, scrolling through guns, don’t even try. Joy bad and joy sticks flick between each other. Gameplay feels really meh. The enemies are so dump, the alien ones are horrible, and the focus on co-op just isn’t there. My partner and I really struggled to enjoy this one. I’d honestly say it’s the worst Borderlands game so far. The large open-world map is awful, i would of preferred pandora again with different maps and portals. Back then it made each location feel unique.. this is just 1 big dump, feels boring and too big, no one is exploring this... loading times when transferring, opening shops, or doing just about anything are painfully slow. My partner’s disappointed that she has to drive everywhere now instead of me, and when I teleport, she doesn’t automatically come along—which makes co-op even worse. Not to mention vertical co-op is almost unplayable and we have a 65inch TV. Aim assist and UI settings are terrible. Guns are confusing, and it’s hard to tell what type they are or how they differ. This just isn’t the Borderlands we know and love. The characters are fine, story fine but the overall gameplay and experience are seriously lacking. There also needs to be which is important for future games the ability to swap co op screen sizes
