The mark of a great movie, is that you can't wait to see it again right after the credits end, and you decide that, as the audience thunders its applause for a great stretch of minutes!! Why, are you wondering? Because everything great about the original movie, is topped in the sequel: the opening fighter takeoffs were shot better, the love interest relationship was more sexy and believable, with his old flame general's daughter Penny (played nicely by Jennifer Connelly) and Maverick's relations with his friend and co-pilot Goose, was topped by the latter's son, Rooster, (not Goose's name, mind you, as Rooster is plain silly) also with a well-acting group of new fighter cast members! Most differently, from the original are amped-up, superior fighter jet flying scenes...DO NOT MISS this movie!!
