I have always loved this show. Unfortunately, one of this year’s contestants was allowed to use extremely prejudicial language, and then the host jumped on board, repeated it, and the entire judging panel laughed. Speaking disparagingly about “Karens” was tantamount to using a racial slur. Prejudice is an equal opportunity form of hate. Stacy should have been stopped by the shows producers at her first mention of “Karen.” Stacy’s extreme prejudice was obviously okay with the show’s team. Perceived privilege is not an excuse for ignorant hate speech.
