Visually pleasing sets and effects. Absolutely loved to learn that animatronic dinosaurs were used in production and I couldn't tell when or where. Chris Pratt and Bryce D. Howard carry the film well enough and the added characters of Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda were welcome. Smith's line delivery (and screeching) had me wishing he had more screen time. However, the plot was a mess. The script was lacking. There were so many moments throughout the entirety of the film when I was just asking, "Okay, but why?" The beauty of the Jurassic series, for me, was that there was sound reasoning and science behind the stories, as well was spectacle. This film went all-in on spectacle.

No spoilers here, promise. It's been 24 hours since I've finished the game and I am reeling. A visual and aural masterpiece.The visual devs really stepped it up with this one, my God. My brother and I couldn't stop gawking and commenting on how impressed we were with how spectacular everything looked and sounded (Looking at you, Santaolalla, Quayle, and the whole sound design folks). Plot-wise, I'm conflicted, and I believe, rightfully so. I'm left both satisfied and disgruntled at the same time; such an odd feeling. There were a dozen thrilling and traumatizing moments that will sit on my mind for a long time, without a doubt. Thank you, Naughty Dog Team, for one hell of a ride.
