mediocre at the best of times as the show revels in it lazy writing.
there is a student called grace who suffers from social anxiety and needs a laptop to do the speaking for her.
within 3 episodes, this gets resolved and she becomes a vocal & snarky student.
from one extreme to another with the snap from a finger because the writers couldn't be bothered to flesh out a character.
and whenever there is a hint of someone getting fleshed out(gabriel's former alcohol addiction, tony's gambling addiction)they really do nothing with it.
the show also attempts to divide its attention between students & teachers, resulting in a cast of people that are there to deliver a line for someone else to deliver a punchline to.
the jokes also suffer from the same lazy writing,i would say hit & miss, but its mostly miss.
i found the sitcom 'schooled ',which also takes places in highschool and has recently finished their second season way better.
by focusing on its teacher and fleshing them out you actually have likeable characters that do more than deliver punchlines.
