The most violent part of this film is the violence done to Clancy's origin story of the phenomenal character that is John Kelly/Clark. If the names had not been used, I would never have known this screenplay was based on that book. The story and the acting were fine, and the film could have been good on it's own. Why appropriate Clancy's names to make a different story? I was excited to watch this, but what a let-down. Up till now, "Sum of All Fears" held the title for the most absurd re-packaging of a Tom Clancy story. No longer.
