The Rise of Skywalker attempts to cram what this current iteration of trilogies should have been into one film, to the point it could be a standalone Star Wars movie. The visuals, lightsaber duels, and dogfights were fun to watch and helped push the story forward, but no amount of retconning can undo what Ryan Johnson did with The Last Jedi. This film is absolutely worth going to see as a popcorn flick. However, if you're a Star Wars fan wanting to go see this, think of it as Spaceballs 2 and still go see it.
