I watch every Block, however, l cant watch every single episode....network shows The Block too often in the each week.
For me its far too long,,4 nights, then often at midday the next day....
It reminds me of masterchef ...l no longer watch at all...
Repercussions of Blockheads is also poor when they are caught out deliberately breaking rules or disrespecting the competition.
Last night,Wednesday 11th Sept, Scotty was Grumpy with Grumpy having not attended a challenge.
It was agreed the absenceof Grumpy was close to cheating.
Punishment,,,2 hours away from Block , fair enough, however,,,when it comes down to it,,,Grumpy joined one from each house to do a bedroom challenge, which, in theory, Grumpy could have won 5k....how is that punishment...?????
Then, to add fire to my belly, house 2 is running short of time to complete plastering, and asks for an extension of an hour to complete...Low and behold,,,,it was granted...
So tell me,,,how was house 2 punished for the non attendance to the challenge that was deemed almost cheating.
The issues need to be addressed for me to continue watching, as the credability and integrity of the show is now at risk...like the forged signing of doc,,,the copying of the Block systems board last season...its becoming too common, why...lack of consequences...
Not only should a house not be worked on by contestent, but it should relect in a monetry penalty... Grumpy should not have been involved in the bedroom challenge, or allowed the additional time to plaster,, but fine $ 5,000 from the next room to build....
Example: the budget to build the next room , kitchen, is $ 80,000. Grumpy has $5,000 removed from house 2 budget.
Therfore, house 2 budget is not $ 80,000 but $ 75,000.
This will bring contestants into line that there are substantial consequences for deliberately disrespecting the competition.
Therefore reinstating the credability and integrity of the show...
Otherwise, l love watching the show and trying to understand the building complexity of building and renovating a home.
Another positive, the support the Block and the network give the contestants ,,,extremely good.
Keep up the great work...
