Another excellent hand-drawn map by Chris Goddard, which, together with The Gallows Pole, Benjamin Myers' excellent novel, allows modern detectives to tread the shoes of "King" David Hartley and his notorious band of Coiners. Luckily the inhabitants of today's Cragg Vale are much more kindly, and the walk includes the Village's two excellent pubs as well as some lovely woodland and nature reserves.
