If you want to turn a child off to reading...... this is your book. I do not understand why an educator would force a child to read this book. This is the lesson to be learned from this book; invests time and energy into reading this book and get a "punch in the gut" for your effort. Little surprise that children will choose to do just about anything else instead of reading. Here is a crazy idea.......... find books that children will actually enjoy and maybe they will read more often.
