I was disappointed in this book. I hoped it was going to be a sweet love story between two people who were stumbling through personal problems and falling in love would be their cure. Nope, not what I expected.

This book was an intense read. While it’s true about Venezuela’s dangerous inhabitants and economic’s dire situation, I found the book followed closely to its truth. I wish the ending was different. The psychological effects on military men and women aren’t so cut and dry. The ending was, for me, too much of an easy way out.
