*Disclaimer if you are not familiar with the political atmosphere or history after WW1, during WW2, and the start of the Cold War it will be challenging to understand the motivations of the characters or to follow the events that occurred in Oppenheimer’s life. If you have minimal interest in science and politics this movie is not for you.
The acting and dialogue were brilliant. Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Junior, and Emily Blunt played their characters exceptionally well. Their expressions and sense of style delivering lines made all the difference to the impact of the scenes. The plot was confusing as the timeline had been mixed up. But I believe the chase of putting the pieces together made the movie better. The cinematic display of quantum mechanics and the A-bomb were immersive. There were a long list of scientists that made it in the movie which was exciting to see. The theatrics were well placed. The film was emotional, intellectual, and left the audience thinking about the significance these events this movie portrays to our current reality.
Best Christopher Nolan movie yet.
