I’ve been vegan for over twenty years and I am fully aware of what to animals as they live their lives and the end of their lives too. What was missing was also following a male calf’s very, very short existence. Although the works made it very clear regarding their attitudes towards gender as one of the works hoisted up the hind leg of a newly born calf and they all cheered “It’s a girl”. Males don’t make money. It was utterly devastating and although I’ve been traumatised many times over the years by what I’ve witnessed, Cow will stay with me forever and my heart is broken when I think of how humans treat our fellow earthlings. When will we stop! A brilliant film and I thank the BBC for airing it. I wonder about the lateness… but I caught it on iPlayer Rest in Peace dear animals
