Rebel Moon Part One and two uses the history of the seven samurais of Akira Kurosawa, a small village frequently assaulted by bandits who deprive them of their crops. The defenseless peasants decide to send one of their own to look for seven warriors, in this case, samurais, to protect them from the bandits. In Rebel Moon, the town is located on a distant planet; the bandits here are represented by the empire, also adding the figure of the hippogriff. We find the same plot in the remake of The Seven Samurais, directed by Antoine Fuqua in 2016, the Magnificent Seven.
