!!!MAJOR SPOILERS MARKED WITH SPOILER WARNING!!!
Toy Story 3 is one of my most favorite movies, great animation and quality, also great story. The first part is actually one of my most favorite scenes in all of animation, and Toy Story 4 completely flips that idea of a perfect movie upside down and frame it into a dumpster, scrapping most of the stuff that made the original Toy Story trilogy... Toy story.
Woody has this goofy ahhh expression on his face every minute that's a mix of being confused and being sad, which is used WAY too much. Andy also said for Bonnie to take good care of Woody at the ending of the last movie, and Woody is just forced to stay in the closet most of the time, collecting dust, with Bonnie ignoring him most of the movie. Bonnie also look's the same as the other movie, which means she must of not even had Woody that much... I thought she wasn't supposed to ignore him all the time?
If you only showed the clips of Buzz to some one, they would think this is Buzz from the first movie. Buzz seem's to talk like he did in the first movie, and listen's to the pre-recorded messages in his voice box, with Buzz clearly knowing he's a toy, the only thing that's missing is him not using his laser.
Minor Spoiler
Forky is obsessed with being in trash, constantly doing mayhem to everyone just to be in trash, the joke being used every 2 minutes. Bonnie cares more about a spork with googly eyes, not even a fork contrary to the name, more then Woody. Forky also likes the main villain, but the villian was acting nice, which we will get to later.
Minor spoiler
I really loved the original Toy Story crew, and they only appeared in the movie for like, what, 10 minutes total? Jessie only really appears so everyone can see she how lucky she is and how unlucky Woody is and also for probably the lamest joke in the world. What I wouldn't give for theese guys to have extra screen-time.
!!!Major Spoiler!!!
The main villain is a doll with goose-bumps looking dummies. Most villains want to rule the world or have infinite power no matter the cost. Well, infinity power to Gabbie Gabbie (the doll) is a new voice box and no matter the cost is stealing a voice box from a toy. Most villains are evil just because, but Gabbie just wants to be a toy. When I see Gabbie, all I think is a much weaker version of the villain from the last movie.
!!!Major Spoiler!!!
Bo downgrades (in terms of like-ability) from a soft, kind toy to a bossy, reckless toy that practically only cares about herself. She calls Woody an idiot, always tell's Woody to do this and that, and Woody had to manipulate Bo just to get forky back, which he doesn't even with the help of Bo.
Minor spoiler
I feel like the bunny, duck, and stuntman are all there just to appeal to younger audiences, trying to be cool but just coming off obnoxious and very "how do you do, fellow kids?" The characters themselves act like little kids with no to little maturity.
That's the end of this review, thank's for listening to my rant. Overall Rating: 2/10
The redeeming quality is the good animation and the fact that a cat is called dragon, but that's it. Do not recommend this movie, only if you have nothing else to watch.
