Totally moronic, but we really enjoyed it. Been to Paris a number of times, and the skillful use of what makes the place so wonderful does shine through (no pun intended). Emily is a self absorbed nitwit, she bangs anyone nearby, the villain is a totally ridiculous character, pretty much all the men are incredibly handsome and on the make. Did I mention Emily wears clothes that probably cost more than the average GDP of a third world country? In spite of these glaring flaws, anything works in these dark days of Trump and covid. It is, after all, only entertainment. BTW, don't watch this for skillful acting- watch cat videos for more nuance than you'll see in this series.

Nothing like a totally depressing movie to cheer you up in the time of covid. I guess it could make you feel less miserable, but I'd pass. Gotta be something better to watch- like old WW2 combat clips.

Moving, disturbing. Clash of cultures, misgivings on the part of both the American and Chinese players in this real life drama. God help those who work with their hands, live from paycheck to paycheck, because this documentary illustrates the bleakness of red toothed capitalism, coupled with the relentless evolution of technology. Doesn't matter your color or nationality, if you are in this class, it doesn't look pretty. Don't miss the afterword with the director/producers and the Obamas as they discuss this film. Very moving to hear all four- sorely miss the decency the Obamas, even though I didn't always agree with their point of view.

Elegant series, combining a Japanese styles and senses with that of England. Interesting, convoluted plot, with reasonable twists and turns. Pacing is reflective of a non-Western culture. Throughly enjoyable.
