Once was the greatest game ever created, then they ruined it, pretty much at the first expansion. The following features buried this game - Cross Realms, Dungeon / raid finder / the whole single track unbelievable hero quest lines / teleporting everywhere / Flying mounts / transmog / new talent system etc etc. The only saving grace is that they have brought out Classic.
