Well, we all know what racism was and is. As much as it's important to face it now and fight through, it is equally important to acknowledge it's roots and connect the dots.
Many reviews tell negative things about this movie. It does not do anything wrong by telling the truth once again with raw intent.
The acting of Henry, Lucky and Da tap dance man were on another level. It doesn't use ghosts to bring the horror factor. Just the history itself reeks horror into our minds. I've seen many movies that tried to tell the racism and discrimination faced by the Black community.
But nothing beats the honesty of Little Marvin's "Them" in depicting it without holding back. It's a slap in the faces of those who still feel racism is over and isn't really a big deal anymore. The scars do live on through generations and it's not easy to heal and move on. And from time to time, this sort of a slap is necessary.
