I loved this show when it first came out, my dad saw an ad for it on Facebook a week before it premiered and my entire family fell in love. Every Sunday we’d pile up in my parents room or the living room and watch the show so intently. And then season 2 came out and it was good at first but I feel that when Boyd and Donna killed that one monster and ran experiments with its stomach bile is when the show peaked. Since then the bus coming and then doing nothing with that perfect potential plot line, the cicadas, the ballerina, it’s just too much. Yeah I know we’re only 2 episodes into the 3rd season but the fact they haven’t brought up the cicadas, the hallucinations, and the ballerina yet just agitates me so much. They made the cicadas a big part of season 2 but now everything in season 3 is about Tabitha in the real world and the fact the crops are dying. Not just that the writing feels so generic, cause it is so obvious that there is going to be something wrong with Fatima’s baby. I feel like the writers put their heart and soul into seasons 1 & 2 and now that show has recognition and a fan base they’re getting lazy. I don’t know if the lazy writing has anything to do with the switch from Epix to MGM or that show is ‘famous’ now so the writers feel like they don’t have to try as hard but I’m really starting to lose interest in the show. Update I’m just impatient, the shows getting good again. My bad. Lowkey feeling bad for dale.
