Jade Dukes

Frieda Pinto's character was selfish and they painted her to be totally ignorant as though women aren't capable of understanding the severity of a mass extinction situation. The way she was so ungrateful for his efforts and threw his effort all away for nothing made this movie pointless to me. There's no point to this movie. No lessons taught, no lessons learned. There wasn't a point and it's sad that they missed the mark on this one because it would have been easy to turn into a much more meaningful movie.

I think the negative comments about the darkness of this film come from people who might not appreciate the rawness of reality. I prefer this movie because it's so relatable to real life and it's ugly. Meryl and Julia together were amazing. I couldn't imagine being in the room during the take where Barb demands a "pill raid". Superstar cast, lots of drama, gossip, and secrets. Highly recommend.
